Frida is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oslo, where she examines how stated high-level policy priorities shape personnel choices and institutional outcomes in the post-1982 Chinese Party‑state. She has over 12 years of experience from China, including from Business Sweden, the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, and Trivium China. She holds a master’s degree in East Asian Relations from the University of Edinburgh, as well as bachelor’s degrees in political science and Chinese from Uppsala University.
